It is Canada&#8217;s oldest and longest marked footpath, primarily maintained by volunteers.<\/p><p>This time, we will explore the section in between Lower Sydenham Fall and Borer&#8217;s Fall Dog Park. Which is around 10 kilometers.<\/p><p class=\"has-x-large-font-size\"><strong>\ud83c\udf04 Scenic Features &amp; Viewpoints<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>\ud83d\udd39 Lower Sydenham Falls<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A smaller but charming ribbon-style waterfall nestled in a peaceful, wooded ravine<\/li>\n\n<li>Beautiful in spring and after rainfall<\/li>\n\n<li>Great photo spot from a footbridge above<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd39 Rocky Escarpment Edges<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The trail follows the Niagara Escarpment, offering elevated views over the Dundas Valley<\/li>\n\n<li>Look for scenic vistas through gaps in the trees, especially in fall or early spring before the leaves are fully out<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd39 Rail Trail Crossings<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You\u2019ll intersect with the Dundas Valley Trail system and old railway beds<\/li>\n\n<li>These flat stretches provide open views of the valley and farmlands<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>\ud83d\udd39 Borer\u2019s Falls<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A dramatic curtain waterfall over 15 meters high, easily viewed from a stone bridge<\/li>\n\n<li>Nearby is the Borer\u2019s Falls Dog Park, which has both forest trails and an open field<\/li>\n\n<li>From the lookout above the falls, you can see deep into the Spencer Gorge in some spots<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Helpful Tips<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Most of the trails are natural dirt and rocky paths. Some sections can be slippery or uneven, grippy hiking shoes are a must.<\/li>\n\n<li>Don\u2019t forget to wear long sleeves and pants, pack some bug spray to keep mosquitoes and ticks away, and slather on sunscreen.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wownature.ca\/?p=336\"> <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#0000ff\" class=\"has-inline-color\">How to Prevent Tick Bites in the Summer<\/mark><\/a><\/li><\/ul><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a leash.
