The park features a fully fenced area for small dogs, as well as a spacious off-leash dog park. The Borer’s Falls hiking trail, which connects to the park, begins as part of the Bruce Trail and offers stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment. Some of the prominent hills can be a bit slippery due to fallen leaves, but most of the steep sections are equipped with stairs for assistance.

Kerncliff Park is a unique and beautiful park located on the Niagara Escarpment. It was once a quarry called Nelson and is now part of the Cootes to Escarpment Ecosystem. The park provides a perfect backdrop with natural stone, wooden bridges crossing marsh-like areas, natural trails, urban landscapes, and views of Lake Ontario. Kerncliff Park has its own trail system and connects to a branch of the Bruce Trail, making it one of the best spots for hiking along the Bruce Trail in Burlington.

Date and Time: November 30th, Saturday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Location: Borer’s Falls Dog Park – Kerncliff Park

Fees:

Members: Free (Note: Membership registered in 2023 is valid until December 31, 2024)

Non-members: $20 per person, $40 per family (e-transfer: wownature21@gmail.com)

New member registration: Registration link

Transportation:

Self-drive or carpooling is encouraged; suggested carpool fee: $10 per person.

Other Costs:

Any fees for park entry or parking will be at your own expense.

Outdoor Leader: Billy (info.wownature@gmail.com)

Age Requirement: 15-60 years old; minors under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Meeting Time: November 30th, Saturday, at 9:00 AM

Meeting Location: To be informed after registration.

Hiking Distance: Approximately 15 kilometers

Difficulty Level: Level C, Moderate difficulty.
